Hawkwatch

9 am - 12 pm
Macbride Nature Recreation Area

Bring the family and friends for a migration celebration!

All events will take place at Macbride Nature Recreation Area & Stainbrook State Preserve on County Road F-28 between North Liberty and Solon.

Event Schedule:

9 am Hawk Identification Seminar by Macbride Raptor Project Staff
10 am - 12 pm Songbird banding by Meredith Caskey (UI Wildlife Camp/School of the Wild Assistant Coordinator)
9 am - 12 pm Hawkwatching on the ridge at Stainbrook State Preserve, next to Sugar Bottom Entrance by Iowa City Bird Club members. Bring binoculars, blankets, lawn chairs and picnic lunches for an exciting day of autumn migration and scenery.
10 am & 11 am Live Raptor Program by Macbride Raptor Project Staff
