The Division of Recreational Services offers an extensive Intramural Program for the University of Iowa students, faculty and staff. We offer 30 individual, dual or team sports with a variety of leagues to choose from.

Participation in the Intramural Program can provide many personal benefits and add to a successful college experience. It is a great opportunity to develop qualities of leadership, cooperation and a sense of fair play. Intramurals are a great way to form lifelong friendships.

* All intramural sports will require a team roster list at the time of registration. See each sports' registration form for complete details.

* Every intramural sports participant will be REQUIRED to show their University of Iowa picture ID in order to participate in every game. Players must show their ID to the scorekeeper, official or supervisor in order to participate. NO ID = NO PLAY. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • November 11, 8:00-9:30 pm (Michigan Rm 351 IMU)
  • November 17, 8:30-10:00 pm (Rm 302 Field House)

  • December 9, 8:00-9:30 pm (Illinois Rm 348 IMU)

Course Description

The purpose of this program is to help students who choose to drink make informed decisions about heir drinking, which will help them behave in a safer manner. The program also aims to provide support for students who choose not to drink.

General Information

This 90 minute program will equip you with the facts to make healthy and informed decisions about your drinking. You can ensure that your relationship with alcohol is smart sand safe because a healthy Hawkeye is a Happy Hawkeye.

Reimbursement Rules

75% of your Intramural Team members attend a 90 minute educational session, you will be reimbursed for your team's entry fee for one of the following sports: Flag Football, Indoor Volleyball, 5 on 5 basketball, Soccer, Softball
