Who can join? Anyone. No experience is required, but inexperienced fencers must take the class offered in the fall. The class is at 7 pm on Tuesdays in Room 462 FH. The Class will be offered again in the Fall 2008.
Are there tryouts? No, but we expect new team members to show consistently for practice.
What is the best way to join? Come to practice on Tuesday or Thursday to check it out. Observers welcome. Or contact the club president via email.
When is practice? Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 - 10 pm in room 462 (aerobics studio) of the Field House.
How often do you compete? Where? Fencers train for individual tournaments; frequency of tournaments depends on each fencer; most tournaments are in the midwest. The team is part of the Midwest Fencing Conference and travels to dual meets at Northwestern and Notre Dame. We also host the Hawkeye Open in the fall.
Are there club dues? How much?

$20 dues for the year. Beginner's class $25.

Does the club provide necessary equipment? Yes, for the beginner class; also supply electric floor equipment. Competitive team members must purchase their own uniform.
