Picnicking

There are six large picnic areas located throughout Macbride Nature Recreation Area. Each area has its own distinctive feature. Listed below are descriptions and pictures of the picnic areas.

Archery Pavilion Shelter is very large and located between archery target areas.

Blue Stem Shelter is very large with an open field, water pump and electricity.

Cedar Shelter is secluded and private.

Hickory Shelter (not shown) is adjacent to the Cedar Shelter picnic area. It is the staging area for a nature trail.

Sumac Shelter is medium in size and located near the Raptor center parking area.

Triangle Area

This area does not have a covered shelter but is a great starting point for all of the hiking trails. It can also be used for picnics.
