Special Programs

Throughout the year, Fitness and Wellness offers a variety of special programs. They each have a dedicated instructor who will motivate you to reach your fitness goals. Read below for the current offerings.

 

Fit Forever
Description:

Recreational Services is now offering fitness programs for individuals 55 years and older, who are able to walk on a treadmill, use a stationary bike and operate weight training equipment. This summer, two classes designated for these individuals will be offered. Choose to participate in either or both of the classes during these sessions.

Weight Circuit: 45-minute circuits at the Fitness Loft (5th Floor FH). Circuits can be done anytime between 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM with the last circuit beginning at 10:15 AM.

Stretch & Tone: 45-minute stretch & tone session in Room 462 FH, from 9:30 AM - 10:15 AM.

Date:

Session 1: June 2 - 27
Session 2: June 30 - July 28 (No class July 4th)

Weight Circuit is on Mondays & Fridays
Stretch & Tone is on Wednesdays

Both classes will be offered during each session

Time:

Weight Circuit: Anytime between 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Stretch & Tone: Anytime between 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Weight Circuit: Fitness Loft - 5th floor of the Field House

Stretch & Tone: Room 462 in the Field House

Fee:

Weight Circuit Only: $40
Stretch & Tone Only: $20
Both Classes: $55
Walk-ins: $5/class

Aerobic & Cycling Instructor Training Information Meeting
Description: The information meeting is perfect for anyone who is interested in learning to teach a group exercise class, getting paid to workout. A instructor training course will be taught in June.

Outdoor Bootcamp
Description: Get Ready to SWEAT! These classes are full of drills, running, jumping and so more. This program will last for two weeks, consisting of three fifty-minute classes a week. Not recommended for beginners. Weather permitting, some activities will take place outside.
Dates: April 29, 30 & May 1, 6, 7, 8
Time: 7:00 - 7:50 AM
Location: Indoor & Outdoor
Cost: $20
Instructor: Adrienne Dybus
Registration: Register in E216 Field House. Class size is limited and this class is expected to fill quickly.
